Have you ever dreamed of gorilla trekking in Uganda? To experience these magnificent creatures in the wild in their own environment? Here is your chance to experience something truly unique. While on this adventure you will also be on safari with many game drives offering the chance to see several types of animals one would expect while on safari. You will also enjoy the local culture, a cooking class, and learning how to dress as the locals do. These Women’s Tours in Uganda aim at being behind society empowerment. That’s why 10% of the profits on your trip go to orphanages run by women.

Day 1: Arrival into Entebbe, Uganda (EBB)

Upon arrival at the airport, Our Driver / Guide will pick you up and check you into your hotel in Entebbe for an overnight. After a short transfer to the Hotel, you will be briefed about your safari depending on the time of arrival. You are therefore advised to have money changed today. Dinner and overnight at Boma Guest House

Day 2: Transfer From Entebbe to Murchison falls National Park

Early Morning after breakfast, our experienced English Driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel and set off northwest of kampala towards the famous Luwero triangle. Lunch stop in Masindi at kabalega then enjoy the budongo forest on the western part of the rift valley to the park. On your way to Murchison, you are most likely to see some animals like elephants, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, lions and many more since Murchison has both big and small animals. Arrive at the park in the evening, Dinner and overnight at Murchison Lodge Camp for 2 nights.

Day 3: Game Drive and boat cruise

Wake up for a great breakfast and set off for an early morning game drive north of the park with a packed lunch to meet those early morning risers like the elephants, leopards, lions, hyenas and buffaloes before they go to their hide outs. After lunch, go for another interesting activity in the wild, so stress free and breath taking. A boat cruise on the Victoria Nile and witness the mighty falls. That’s why Uganda is the pearl of Africa. Have a stop at the Devil’s Cauldron and see mammals like hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles on the edge of the calm waters of the Nile. Birds like Goliath herons, Egyptian geese, Pelicans, Bee eaters, Kingfisher hornbills, Cormorants and the rare shoe bill may also be seen around the shores enjoying the nature. Dinner back at the lodge.

Day 4: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park

After breakfast, drive from Murchison Falls NP to Queen Elizabeth NP. The park boasts the highest biodiversity rating of any game park in the world with its dense swamps, incredible crater lakes, open Savannah and rain forests. On your way you will enjoy great scenery of hills, forests, and Tea plantations. On your way, you will stopover for lunch and get to the park in the evening to relax at the hotel. Overnight at Bush Lodge for 3 nights.

Day 5: Game Drive and Launch cruise

An early cup of coffee to warm up the body for the morning game drive, we shall observe a number of early risers like leopards, hyenas, lions, the Uganda kobs, antelopes, Waterbucks, Warthogs, African giant elephants, herds of Buffaloes and many more will be seen. As well as birds like; Wood billed, Red collared, Green crombs, Yellow billed, Grey treated starting, purple indigo, Lender bill quelas, masked weaver, Grosbeak Weaver, Copper Sunbird among others. After the game drive, go back to the lodge for breakfast and rest along the pool as lunch comes.
After lunch go for a stress free Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. You will delight in seeing buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles around the edge of the channel as they cool off and birds like, the water bucks, noisy hornbills, the two species of pitas, African grey parrots, rare shoebill, Egyptian geese, yellow billed stork, white pelicans and many others. Dinner back at the lodge.

Day 6: Chimp tracking and Forest walk

After breakfast, set off for Kyambura. This originated from the Kasyoha-Kitomi forest in the Esika district for chimp tracking. It was formed by faulting, the strong earth’s crust occurred vertically and horizontally which deepened and widened leading to this wonderful habitat for a number of chimpanzees. There are 3 families and there are 4-5 members in a family. Sit down quietly in the rain forest from watching the different families of chimps playing and talking to each other while the birds sing sweetly in the trees. You will also enjoy other primates like the black and white colobus, red colobus monkeys, olive baboons and more. Next we move to the Maramagambo forest to see the bat cave which the hunters used as a hiding spot, and the blue river where people used to conduct cultural rituals. A number of reptiles, butterflies, primates, animals will be seen in the forest. Back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 7: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park

Very early in the morning after breakfast, you will set off for the Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park via Isasha Sector with the possibility to see tree climbing lions. On your way, you will enjoy scenery and views of different mountains and beautiful plantations. Arrive at Buhoma in Bwindi. Check in at the hotel and relax preparing for your gorilla trek the following day.
Dinner and overnight at Nkuringo safari Lodge for 2 nights.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Early morning after breakfast, you will go for gorilla tracking. Before tracking you will be briefed by the Ranger at 7:30 AM and at 8:30 AM with a packed lunch, you will start the trek to hunt for the Gorillas. You will be able to track the Mubare, Habinyanja, Rushegura, Bitukura or Nshongi Gorillas and different family groups. And when you find them, you shall spend almost an hour enjoying them and observing the kind of life they live, this will be a great achievement since these great giants are unpredictable. This walk will take around 4-6 hours depending on which group you are tracking and where you will meet the gorillas. After tracking return to the hotel and relax.

Day 9: Bwindi National park – Entebbe

A very delicious breakfast heavy enough to set you a half way on the journey to Kampala. A stop in Mbarara for your lunch and then Proceed to Entebbe arriving in the late evening. You will have another stopover at the Equator for photos and Souvenir shopping. Overnight and Accommodation

Day 10: Departure Day, Cooking Class, Gomesi wearing lesson.

After breakfast in Entebbe, you will go for a traditional cooking class and Gomesi wearing lesson. Gomesi is the women’s traditional dress and of course, you will get to bring it back home with you. Enjoy the cooking class followed by a lunch of your creation, buy some souvenirs and relax at the beach. Your Driver/guide will drop you at the airport according to your flight.
